2.56 Million Total Weekly Active Users

Only two months after the exciting ZetaChain Mainnet Beta release, we are proud to report ZetaChain crossed into the top five layer 1 blockchains by total weekly active users [Source: DappRadar, Top Layer 1 Blockchains by Total UAW in the last 30 days, April 4th, 2024]. Our large, active user base provides a strong platform to grow the omnichain dApp ecosystem as we step into Q2 2024.

Gearing up for the Bitcoin Halving

Our mission to enable users and developers to access and experience the benefits of any blockchain doesn’t stop at Bitcoin. Just last week, after Galxe added support for ZetaChain, we launched a Bitcoin Halving campaign to prep the community for some exciting ecosystem developments.

The initial launch distributed 120,000 ZETA to 21,000 qualified testnet users on Galxe and kicked off the BTC NFT claim quest. Any ZetaHub user enrolled in the XP program and holding a .zeta domain is eligible with more than 16,000 participants joining so far! Campaign participants can also head over to ZetaChain’s guild where they will find a new BTC Holder role unlocked!

After such a successful launch of Bitget Wallet’s Task2Get platform on ZetaChain, we decided to collaborate on an additional 350,000 ZETA prize pool for ZetaChain dApp learning. Stay tuned on both our socials for an update on reward distribution!

Tying it all back to ZetaHub

Social quests, wallet partnerships, and other ecosystem learning initiatives aim to supplement our core XP program, powered by ZetaHub. In addition to the 4,800,000 ZETA awarded to testnet campaign participants with OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, TokenPocket, and XDEFI, we issued an XP bonus to users, now reflected in users’ ZetaHub portal!

The ZetaChain Bitcoin Builder Zone at ETH Seoul

Thank you, everyone who came out for our full day Bitcoin Builder Zone workshop. The main event featured an omnichain workshop with a focus on Bitcoin Smart Contracts development and panel discussions with partners such as Particle Network, BurritoWallet, and many more!

In the workshop, Lead DevX contributor Denis Fadeev deep dove into opportunities made possible when you connect Bitcoin to the DeFi world. In fact, the next day, Denis brought this topic, Bringing BTC to Web3, to the official ETH Seoul conference main stage! Stay tuned for the recording on ZetaChain’s YouTube.

More online and offline events…

While most of our time in March was spent at the big web3 Asia conferences including ETH Seoul, the Web3 Hong Kong festival, and ETH Tokyo, we did have a presence at other events around the world, too.

The community energy and progress we’re seeing in crypto markets around the world is extremely exciting! We hosted a fun happy hour with partners at Democratize 24 in San Francisco, hosted the Nolcha Show Bitcoin Halving party at NFT NYC, and collaborated with Amazon Web Services and Kiln to host a happy hour at the Digital Asset Summit in London.

Diverse Ecosystem Expansion

March included partnership expansion across a number of ecosystem areas including dev tooling, new social and DeFi apps, data analytics, and additional leading wallet integrations. Before reviewing key highlights, let’s take a closer look at one of the biggest developments in March — that is the launch of the .zeta Name Service.

.zeta rises to top Domain Name Services

We’re so excited to share that one week after launch, .zeta rose to the top five SPACE ID naming services by total registrations [Source: SPACE ID, all-time total Domain Registered, April 5th, 2024].

The .zeta Name Service, powered by SPACE ID, is differentiated from other standard and chain-specific web3 identities in that .zeta is built for omnichain interoperability. With ZetaChain’s cross-chain messaging, users can transfer NFTs including .zeta domains across multiple chains, opening up new possibilities and usages that go beyond the limitations of NFTs today.

In the future, Omnichain Smart Contracts will enable new groundbreaking omnichain dApps on SPACE ID’s infrastructure with an ability to manage NFTs across all supported chains from one place on ZetaChain. Learn more about the strategic partnership in our official statement here.

• Alchemy Pay: Leading fiat-crypto payment gateway Alchemy Pay integrated ZetaChain. The app is now available natively in the ZetaHub interface! Learn more by visiting the full press release here.

• Coin98: Leading web3 wallet Coin98 integrates ZetaChain. The integration enables users to seamlessly transact and experience omnichain dApps across any network from one place. We’re working on exciting plans together for this year’s GM Vietnam event coming up in June!

• Accumulated Finance and Curve: Accumulated Finance announced the launch of a new $ZETA / $crvUSD incentivized pool.

• Acqua: March also marked the reveal of on-chain credit-based trading product Acqua by Native coming to ZetaChain. Just last week we interviewed Acqua CEO & Co-Founder Meina on everything you need to know!

• Galxe: The number one web3 community building platform Galxe announced its integration with ZetaChain, enabling us to co-launch the BTC drop campaign for the Bitcoin Halving month.

• Guild: Leading web3 CRM tool Guild integrated ZetaChain and rolled out a network gating requirement that looks at Bitcoin holders on ZetaChain. Come join our ZetaChain Guild — the #1 largest on the Guild platform — and grab your new BTC Holder role!

• Biconomy: By popular request from developers, we’re excited to share that the Biconomy Account Abstraction SDK is now live on ZetaChain.

• DappRadar: Leading crypto data tool DappRadar added support for ZetaChain, which provided the data for this monthly recap headline! All omnichain dApps in the ecosystem should submit projects here to get their “dApp on the radar”.

• RetroBridge: Adding to the list of bridges to ZetaChain is RetroBridge!

• Zebra Protocol: DeFi loans by Zebra Protocol is now live and featured in the latest batch of XP dApps.

Omnichain Developer Updates

We’ll deep dive into everything developers need to know in the next ZetaChain Dev Office hours (stay tuned for updates on scheduling). High-level, it’s worth sharing with the broader community that 4,500 developers joined our final learn-to-earn StackUp developer course on building Omnichain NFTs.

In preparation for the final course, ZetaChain open-sourced a new toolkit to make developing cross-chain NFT use cases really easy. Native BTC loans stored as NFTs on ZetaChain is one of many new cross-chain use cases made possible by this tool!

In other news not only pertinent to developers, the ZetaScan Explorer team released an update that lets users explore staking transactions on ZetaChain. Check out the feature live on ZetaScan! We can’t wait to bring the ecosystem more exciting features and optimizations across all ZetaChain products and services.
