Conviction Beta Launch: A Cross-Chain Prediction Market Built for APAC on ZetaChain
Feb 5, 2026
ZetaChain Team
Today, Conviction is launching its Beta on ZetaChain, bringing a prediction market experience that solves two gaps in the industry: (1) native cross-chain UX, and (2) APAC-native markets.
ZetaChain is the universal layer for AI and Web3, built so apps can run across chains and models, keep private memory, and monetize without infrastructure.

Why prediction markets, why now
Prediction markets are shifting from a niche crypto phenomonan into an always-on information layer where beliefs about real-world outcomes become tradable prices, updated in real time.
1) The category has scaled fast now at real financial-market levels
A joint Dune × Keyrock report estimates prediction markets reached $13B+ in monthly notional volume (Nov 2025), with 43M+ monthly transactions, 600K+ monthly users (ex. Kalshi), and $500M+ open interest.
2) “Anything can be a market” is becoming real product distribution
Paradigm’s new Paradigm Predictions tool frames prediction markets as technology that can “financialize any belief about the future,” pointing to the rise of entirely new market categories beyond crypto such as weather, Spotify leaderboards, and even scientific discoveries.
Moreover, Paradigm notes prediction markets being integrated into large institutions such as CNN and Dow Jones, which enhances distribution. They argue 2026 will be a breakout year, driven by major global events and broader distribution.
3) Accuracy + real-time updates are the killer feature attracting big investment
Unlike polls, surveys, or “expert forecasts,” these markets can update continuously as information changes. A recent NBER working paper (covered by Fortune) found Kalshi’s market forecasts for Fed decisions had a “perfect forecast record” over a multi-year window versus slower traditional forecasting cycles.
The space attracted major investment: Reuters reported Kalshi’s $185M raise at a $2B valuation, describing these event contracts as having “exploded in popularity.
What makes Conviction different
1) Native cross-chain UX (built on ZetaChain)
Most prediction markets still trap users in chain silos where your assets are on one chain, liquidity is on another, and you’re forced to bridge/swap/manage gas across networks.
Conviction is built on ZetaChain so users can participate with much less friction: connect wallet/socials, deposit assets from any wallet and chain, enter a position, track and settle, all in one simple transaction without manual bridging workflows.
2) AI-native trading experience
Conviction is being built around an AI-forward interface that reduces the learning curve of prediction markets, making it easier to discover markets, understand odds, and express intent quickly.
In the future, Conviction will integrate into ZetaChain 2.0 and private LLM chat apps like anuma.ai to enable trading using everyday language. The goal is less UI complexity, and more “just tell it what you want to do.”, and the app guides the execution.
3) APAC-native markets from day one
Most “global” prediction markets default to a narrow set of markets (typically U.S. politics and macro) because that’s where early liquidity formed. But that doesn’t translate cleanly to Asia, where participation is driven more by community-first, culture-first sectors. Conviction starts from what Asian users actually follow:
Esports-led markets (LPL and beyond): Conviction leans into Chinese-centric competitive ecosystems like LPL, one of the strongest engagement engines across Chinese markets and Southeast Asia.
Entertainment-led markets: Instead of leading with politics or finance, Conviction prioritizes entertainment formats (think “Black & White Chef”-style narratives) that can be localized for Korea and China.
Region-specific programming, not one-size-fits-all localization: Conviction’s market strategy is intentionally tailored by country e.g. Korea with entertainment, pop culture, and social topics, and Chinese speaking markets with esports, variety shows, and trend-driven events.
This positions Conviction less as a finance-first product and more as a culturally native participation layer for Asia where markets are built around what communities already discuss and follow.
Why ZetaChain: universal access without the bridge headache
Prediction markets also suffer from fragmented liquidity. Users hold BTC, ETH, SOL, stables, and more, but participation often requires bridging and multi-step transaction flows.
ZetaChain reduces that fragmentation by enabling Universal App access across chains so apps like Conviction can accept users and liquidity where they already are. Users should be able to focus on the market, not infrastructure, gas juggling, and chain-specific UX.
