ZETA Moves to Solana on Dec 9, and ZetaLabs Launches With It
Nov 4, 2026
ZetaChain Team
TL;DR: Governance Proposal 2 is live on ZetaHub. It sets the mechanism, the dates and the holder protections for moving ZETA to Solana, as directed by Proposal 68. If it passes, the ZetaChain L1 halts around Dec 9, 2026, ZETA is minted on Solana as a native token, 1:1 under the same ticker, and claims open the same day through the ZetaHub migration portal. ZetaLabs, private AI for markets, launches on Dec 9 too, with ZETA as the token behind it. The ZETA whitepaper is published alongside the proposal, and the full roadmap is in this post. Voting runs 72 hours. Nothing moves until it passes.
From connecting blockchains to connecting AI
ZetaChain was built to solve interoperability. From 2024 to 2026 its Layer 1 let one smart contract hold and move assets on Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana and other chains, with no wrapping and no bridges. The point was never the chains, but that a user should not be locked into one of them.
The same problem is showing up in AI. There are many models, many market data sources and many apps, and each one keeps the user's data to itself. Every prompt, every chat and every wallet address you show a tool becomes a record someone else holds. Financial research is where that matters most. Your thesis, your positions and your mistakes should not live on a provider's server.
Crypto and AI are converging, and much of it is happening on Solana. Agents pay for services over onchain rails through x402, where Solana carried about 70% of monthly volume as of mid-August and has processed more than 35 million transactions, and agent identity is being written into the protocol. What is still missing is an application layer where the user, not the provider, owns the data. That is what ZetaChain is building. ZetaLabs builds on the private chat and memory technology ZetaChain has run in production since February 2026 as Anuma Chat. ZetaChain connected blockchains, and now it connects AI.
What Proposal 2 approves
Proposal 68 approved the direction in September with 99.4% in favor. Proposal 2 sets every date and mechanism behind it.
Snapshot and halt. Every ZETA balance is recorded at a published block height expected around Dec 9, 2026: liquid, staked, unbonding and unclaimed rewards. The ZetaChain L1 halts at the same height and is not restarted.
ZETA on Solana. A native SPL token, 1:1 under the same ticker. The snapshot total is minted before the portal opens, then the mint authority is revoked, so no one can ever mint more. No third-party bridge is involved.
Claims. The ZetaHub migration portal opens Dec 9 at hub.zetachain.com/migrate. Connect the wallet that held ZETA, sign a message naming a Solana wallet, and the full balance arrives shortly after. No fee, no SOL needed, and never a seed phrase.
Staked and exchange balances. Credited automatically. No one needs to unstake, and exchange balances convert without holder action.
Supply. About 55 million ZETA of undistributed validator emissions are burned monthly through 2027, on the schedule they would have been emitted. No inflation on Solana. Purchaser and core contributor vesting completes Jan 1, 2027, and no newly released ZETA is sold in 2027.
Security. The portal and the program behind it are under independent security review by Hacken. The portal opens only after the review is complete, and the report is published first.

ZetaLabs launches Dec 9
ZetaLabs is a private AI app on Solana for people who follow markets. Chats, research and memory are encrypted by the user, and one chat draws on many AI models and many live market feeds. It launches on Dec 9, the day ZETA arrives on Solana. Join the waitlist at labs.zetachain.com.
Chat. Ask in plain words about crypto, perps, prediction markets, stocks and commodities, with live data in the answer.
Radar. A live list of what is moving across markets, shaped by what you follow.
Bloom. A private memory of what you did onchain, encrypted by you.
ZETA Dashboard. Supply, locked ZETA and every burn, live.
Q1 2027 brings ZetaLabs Premium with deep research reports, Lens for turning any transaction into plain words, a fuller market feed with tokenized stocks, Zeta Intelligence, and Zeta MCP, which lets other apps connect to ZetaLabs' tools and to a user's memory only with that user's permission.

ZETA on Solana
Anyone can use ZetaLabs and pay in ZETA, USDC or card. ZETA adds the following.
Unlock access. Lock ZETA for ZetaLabs Premium, from Q1 2027. Your ZETA stays yours.
Pay in ZETA. A discount on AI usage and access to more reports and features.
Shape the product. Vote in ZETA on which markets, data sources and AI models ZetaLabs supports.
Burn. About 55 million ZETA burned monthly through 2027, with every transaction published and shown on the ZETA Dashboard.
Why Solana? A private AI app needs users, payment rails and agent infrastructure, and Solana already has all three. Moving ZETA there puts the token where the product can grow, inside the ecosystem that is assembling the rest of the AI stack.
The whitepaper
ZetaChain: Private AI on Solana, v1.0.0, is the new ZETA whitepaper and the document of record for the token after the migration. It covers the product, the token, supply after the migration, the landscape and the roadmap in about ten pages, and it is written for holders, exchanges and anyone who wants the whole picture in one place. https://www.zetachain.com/whitepaper.pdf
For ZETA holders
Most holders do not need to do anything until Dec 9.
What stays
The ticker and a 1:1 conversion. No new ZETA is created, and the maximum supply stays at 2.1 billion less the burned amount.
Your balance, including staked, unbonding and reward balances, credited at the snapshot.
Vesting schedules, on their original dates.
ZETA on Ethereum (ERC-20), which this proposal does not change.
Every use of ZETA other than securing the ZetaChain L1.
What changes
The chain: Solana instead of ZetaChain's own L1, which halts at the snapshot.
The standard: a native SPL token with 9 decimals, no freeze authority, and no mint authority once the snapshot total is minted.
Staking: rewards stop at the snapshot height, and the undistributed validator emissions are burned instead of distributed.
How you receive it: a one-time claim through the ZetaHub portal, or automatically through your exchange.
Holder protections are written into the proposal. Trust only hub.zetachain.com, zetachain.com and the official X and Discord accounts. The portal asks for a signature, never a transaction, and never a seed phrase.
What happens next
Nov 4. Proposal 2 is submitted on-chain. The whitepaper is published.
Nov 7. Voting closes.
Before Dec 9. The security review report, the SPL mint address and the migration program address are published.
Dec 9. Snapshot and halt. ZETA is minted on Solana, the migration portal and connected-chain asset claims open, and ZetaLabs launches.
January to December 2027. Twelve monthly burns of about 4.6 million ZETA each.
Q1 2027. ZetaLabs Premium, Lens, the full market feed, Zeta Intelligence and Zeta MCP.

FAQ
Do I need to do anything? Not until Dec 9. Then connect the wallet that held your ZETA at hub.zetachain.com/migrate, sign a message naming your Solana wallet, and the full balance is delivered. You need at least 10 ZETA at the snapshot to claim.
My ZETA is on an exchange. It converts without any action from you. Each exchange announces its own conversion window to its users.
My ZETA is staked or unbonding. It is credited in full at the snapshot, along with unclaimed rewards. No one needs to unstake. Staking rewards stop at the snapshot height.
I hold wrapped or pooled ZETA. Unwrap and exit pools before the snapshot. ZETA inside contracts and pools cannot be claimed by a key.
I hold assets bridged to ZetaChain. Any asset still held as a ZRC-20 token at the snapshot can be claimed back on its original chain at hub.zetachain.com/bridged-assets from Dec 9, with a minimum of $5 per token.
Is there a deadline to claim? The portal opens Dec 9. Claims are checked against the published snapshot rather than the live chain, so they work after the halt. Any change to the claim process will be announced on official channels in advance.
Why burn the validator emissions, and why monthly? The ZetaChain L1 is retiring, so the emissions that would have paid validators are no longer needed. Burning them monthly follows the schedule on which they would have been emitted during 2027, so the published release schedule does not change and no new mechanism is introduced.
What if the vote fails? The direction approved in Proposal 68 stands, and ZetaChain returns with a revised proposal. Nothing moves on these terms.
