Why Sui, Why Now?

ZetaChain targeted Sui for its fast, performant L1 designed for parallel execution and high throughput. It’s ideal for games, NFTs, and high-frequency apps. But like many non-EVM chains, the Sui ecosystem is isolated, relying on bridges and wrapped assets to reach the rest of crypto.

With ZetaChain, Sui developers can now unlock native liquidity, users, and apps across the entire Web3 ecosystem, all from a single L1 platform.

Native Sui Support for Universal Apps

Universal Apps can now bring Sui together with other chains in a general and simple way. With ZetaChain’s Universal Blockchain approach, developers have native interoperability with any chain like Bitcoin (non-smart chain), Solana (non-EVM), Sui (Move-based), plus major EVM networks all under a single, unified contract.

For example, users can deposit SUI and call any native app on Ethereum, Solana, or other chains directly from a Sui Wallet and in a single click.

💡 Why this matters: ZetaChain uniquely enables native Sui assets and apps to go multichain from Bitcoin to Solana while letting users on Sui natively access apps on other chains and vice versa in a single click.

Growing Universal App development through Sui-focused integration efforts

ZetaChain has a strong track record of building an L1 ecosystem with more than 300+ ecosystem partners. Universal Apps today span DeFi, AI, NFTs, payments, and social. Developers will be adding Sui connectivity to their existing dapps using the Universal EVM on ZetaChain (no bridges or custom infra).

For example, Sui is now fully supported in ZetaHub, our portal into the Universal Blockchain where you can view Holdings, Pool Liquidity, and Send Assets. ZetaHub has 230K+ users in the last 30 days (DappRadar).

• Speedrun — Fast cross-chain TXs using intents.

• Pitch Lucy — Universal AI Agent (seamlessly call the app from Base and other connected networks).

Roadmap to enable greater Sui interoperability

Our 2025 vision and roadmap includes features for even more advanced Sui blockchain-compatible Universal Apps. Today, Sui users can interact with native BTC and other assets and dApps from external chains. Next, we’re enabling users from other chains (Bitcoin, Solana, TON, major EVMs, and more) to access Sui assets and its dApp ecosystem natively without switching networks or wallets.
